About Me

I'm Jonny – a camera-obsessed videographer and photographer with 14 years of experience and a serious soft spot for the Wirral's incredible landscapes. There's something about the light here – the way it plays across the water at New Brighton or filters through the trees at Royden Park – that makes filming in this area something special.

My journey with a camera has taken me to some unexpected places over the years. I've directed Christmas adverts that aired on Sky TV, captured behind-the-scenes moments with Shia LaBeouf during filming of "Salvable," and even spent time shooting with Rio Ferdinand at Old Trafford. I've been lucky enough to work with talented folks like Maimuna Enya Memon and Nina Wadia too.

But honestly? I get just as excited about filming a small business owner in Heswall talking about their passion, or capturing a couple's special day at Thornton Manor. Every project has its own story, and finding creative ways to tell it is what gets me up in the morning (well, that and walking my golden retriever Jess along the Wirral Way).

I bring my trusty Canon C300 Mark III and C70 cameras to every shoot, but the gear is just the starting point – it's understanding what you're hoping to achieve that really matters. And having my DMI qualification means I've got the technical side covered while keeping things relaxed and enjoyable on the day.

Some Recent Local Projects

Last month, I spent a couple of days with a family-run restaurant in Oxton Village. Rather than just filming their food (though it looked amazing), we focused on their story – the grandmother who still makes the desserts, the relationships with local suppliers, the regular customers who've been coming for decades. The resulting videos have helped them connect with a whole new audience online.

I also recently filmed a wedding at Thornton Manor that blended cinematic drone shots of the estate with those natural, unscripted moments throughout the day. My favorite clip was the groom's face when he first saw his partner walking down the aisle – that's the stuff no amount of fancy camera work can beat.
